Eckermann………..Roo Beauty

Adam Eckermann makes a spectacular marking attempt at Balhannah Oval this afternoon. We are going to put it down as a great mark, though despite his amazing effort, Eckermann was awarded a “Free kick” from this contest.   The Senior Barkeroos ran out winners, 13.11 (89) to Onka Valley 12.10 (82). Mount Barker football club will have 4 teams representing in the finals next Sunday at Blackwood. The A’s, Junior Colts and Mini Colts were assured of finals; and by a twist of fate the Reserves have also kept their place in the five. Well done and good luck next weekend.

Hungry Lions not so Pleasant

One of the Roos better players, Ethan “Ringer” Bell looks to drive the ball forward as Roos skipper Jarred Chaplin offers some protection. A poor opening half at Mount Pleasant saw the Roos trail by 38 points and ultimately go down to the Torrens Valley Lions by 26 points at the final siren. The Roos must at the very least defeat the improving Lobethal Tigers this Saturday at ABLE Storage Oval to keep their place in the top 5.
