Senior Colts fall short.

Young Jordan “Bots” Houlahan takes a spectacular mark in the first quarter of the Senior Colts Grand Final at Balhannah oval. Sadly Noons’ Roos fell short by 3 points to the old enemy, Hahndorf.

Tom Hughes awarded Murphy Medal


2015 Murphy Medal recipient; Tom HUGHES is congratulated by 1955 Mt Barker Best and fairest and Club Patron Bruce NEWMAN. Tom HUGHES was a runaway winner ahead of joint Runners up in senior coach Lucas BLOCK and Stuart HILL.

Murphy Medal “Sold Out”

Who will be awarded the prestigious Murphy Medal.

This Friday evening (18 Sept) the Mt Barker Football club will hold their Senior Best & Fairest Presentation. 

6:30 for 7 pm. at the Mount Barker Golf Club.




“Vale” Mark Whitington


Mark Whitington (centre) pictured recently at Roo Park with the Mount Barker Football Club training staff. Sadly Mark was very ill and lost his battle. He passed away quietly at the Mount Barker hospital on Wednesday evening. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Raelene and the Whitington Family.

Colts fall short. Season still “alive”

The Mount Barker Senior Colts fell short by 4 points in their second semi final clash against the old enemy.

Hahndorf 8.12 (60) defeated Mt Barker 7.14 (56)

At full time the scores were level.  Having to play an extra 10 minutes Hahndorf triumphed by 4 points to book a place in the Grand Final.

The Roos must defeat either Blackwood or Mount Lofty to advance to the big dance on September 26.

The siren sounds and the Senior colts are out on their feet as Hahndorf celebrate. The Roos will have another opportunity to defeat Hahndorf in the Grand Final, provided they defeat their next opponent in two weeks time.
